Purpose for Research

TxB Research is an initiative that teaches student how to think deeply about web3 technology and its future impact on various industries. Students will get to choose to specialize in Consumer, DeFi, or Infrastructure research*. Through writing, collaborative research, and presentations, students will learn to communicate and teach crucial web3 topics using their own unique perspectives.

Activities

Building a Personal Brand

Students will use a variety of research and data analytics tools to create their own short and long form writing. Through a series of mini lessons, we will guide students through the entire research process from brainstorming topics to marketing their personal portfolios.

Throughout the semester, we will have various workshops and group mentoring sessions led by industry experts. Mentor workshops will be interactive to help students with anything from idea jams to getting direct writing feedback from experienced researchers and writers.

Peer to Peer Mentorship

TxB Research stands out with its distinctive, community-driven approach towards exploring the vast realm of web3. Comprising a dedicated cohort of 10 Research students, we dive deep into producing both short and long-form research. Our work ranges from in-depth analyses of emerging projects to shedding light on the latest trends, and even brainstorming fresh perspectives on web3 synergies.

By fostering peer mentorships, we create a dynamic learning environment, allowing members to educate and inspire one another. This cultivates a platform of high-quality content generation that's unparalleled.

Whether you're a novice to the web3 space or a seasoned veteran, TxB Research welcomes all UT Austin students with open arms.
